More erratic readouts on an H1 Monitor

I have an H1 monitor/controller s/n: 10036 which is acting very confused. It will cycle from a Guage reading of Full to Empty and then back to Full about every 10 minutes to half an hour. The voltage on the batteries remains fairly constant at around 12.5 to 12.7 volts. I load tested the batteries using a hand-held meter and they measured within spec. I have six, 6-volt batteries wired for 12 volts as my house battery bank. I read in some of the other posts that a memory overflow can result if the batteries are not fully charged occaisionally and that the problem can be resolved by inturrupting the power to the unit momentarily. I will give that a try and let you know what happens. The batteries currently charge to around 13.6 volts but once the charger is turned off, the voltage drops to 12.7 over a period of 6 hours with a light load. Once the voltage gets to 12.7, it holds steady over several days again with a light load. I have checked for lose connections on both of the connector blocks and they are tight.

If there is something else I should check, let me know.
Thanks,
Bernie

Voltage and current readings are not affected by arithmetic overflow.

AT 13.6, the batteries are no where near a full charge, so the drop in voltage is not unsual.
