Solar Charge manager

Postby garbonz on Thu Aug 20, 2009 2:13 pm

You used to have a cute little solar charge manager that used a little relay and a microprocessor that simply disconnected the panel until the barrery voltage reached a low point (12.5v adjustable) and left it hooked up until the batteries were up to 14.4V (adjustable). I had one and it worked really great, but it went with my old boat when I sold it. It was cheap and efficient.

What happened to it...??

The Solar Controller was a slow mover so when we ran out of printed circuit boards, we couldn't justify another order for them.

If you can round up another 19 people who want one we'd consider another build.

We think our problem with the alarm's irregular activity is due to not having the solar panels integrated to the V3 Smart Regulator. What can you recommend to help solve this problem?
