Step Load on SAR V3

Our SAR V3 has a step load input onto the generator. Ideally the load would ramp up allowing our engine control system time to compensate (diesel engine with mechanical governor). Is it possible to produce a ramping load? If not I imagine the best method is to chop the load in half by using the EQL setpoint and controlling the "ON" time of the EQL with a timer?

** Edit - I forgot to add that we are locking the SAR in ABS and Limit mode by connecting P2, P11 and P14. What happens if both switches are activated for the current limits. (ie. EQL limit is set to 45A, Limit is set to 90A), Current Limit Enable is ON, Equlisation Limit Enable is ON, P1 has NOT been shorted (so EQL Limit acts as a second current limit at the ABS Voltage).

Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated. Also do any of you're other products have a ramping load?

The manual doesn't indicate what happens if both limit inputs are asserted, but probably the lesser one is used.

Ramping up on load changes is not available on any regulator. The EnerMatic controller has stepper motor control of engine RPM, and can select an appropriate RPM for a given load, and increase/decrease RPM as the load changes.
