It takes about 5 minutes to get a charge profile after the regulator reaches absorption or there abouts. Activate the ABS input, wait a few seconds and record the battery voltage. Remove the ABS input and let the battery voltage step down to float over a few minutes.
Why is it you'll put up with a dumb charger that will most certainly cook your batteries if you don't turn of some loads, but you don't want to deal with a regulator that purposely avoids overcharge by occasionally putting it in ABS?
The book you need to read is "Living on 12 Volts with Ample Power".

I've spent the last two weeks trying "deal with a regulator t hat purposely avoids overcharge...". I had a V3 sent via FedEx. I'm on a boat, not on a test bench. You know the voltage targets for Bulk and Absorption, and you know the Absorption time. Why not tell us? Why make me waste my time and run my engine a bunch of hours to figure it out. I've got a long list of things to do before crossing the Pacific, reverse engineering your charge profiles is not a good use of my time.

Ruth has my shipping and Billing information - I"m the guy who returned the 2nd unit, which I would have kept if I could get any cooperation on the settings.
Which profile is closest to the specs I sent to Ruth over a month ago, all voltages at 25C:
Bulk target: 28.8
Absorption: 28.4
Temp adjustment: .06v / 1C
Need to restore about 500ahrs on each charge cycle
Ambient temperature is 29C
Batt temp after 2hrs of charging is about 38C
