Full River DC

I have a Tayana 37 yacht that is fitted with your SARV3P - 12 Smart Alternator Regulator V3

I am putting in 2 Full River 210Ah Deep Cycle AGM house batteries and wondered what charger setting I should use.

I plan to use Concord AGM with Equalisation disabled. I disable Equalisation by opening the 2 pins at R22, is this correct?

The previous owner also used to vary the screw on R11, is this going to cause me a problem?

Equalization requires the jumper at P1 to be installed, so leave it off.

R11 is current limit if the limit input is on.
R12 is a second current limit and used for equalization if P1 installed.

There were no charging specs for FullRiver batteries, but the Concorde (Lifeline) profile may be appropriate.

AGM batteries can benefit by a periodic equalization cycle.

I am setting up the equalization circuit on a V 3 regulator. I have read a length on equalization, the hows and whys and believe I understand the issues. and the concerns. I have connected the wires as the manual indicates, adjusted the current limit on R-12 without the jumper p-1 in to 30 amps (a 700 A hr house bank). When I put the jumper in and try to engage the equalization cycle, the green light flashes 6 times then goes back to regular mode.On one post you indicated that the regulator thinks that it has reached the end of the cycle and resets. Does the current limit on R-12 without the jumper function independently of the current on the equalization cycle or should I set without jumper, then reset with jumper? I read on other posts of turning the R-12 counter clockwise 12 - 20 turns then engaging the cycle and adjusting it to the RPM you will be using. This would indicate resetting after the jumper is in place. The batteries are set to the Optima setting. The specs of the optima web site are close to what the engineer at Full River recommended. I have rechecked the wiring and it does mirror what your diagram indicates, and have had another set of eyes look at it also.

I would like to get this up and functioning as I will soon be loosing access to being able to use my shore power charger to equalize after being out for a month or so.

It sounds like the voltage hit the equalization stop set point.

Try less current. Whatever the pot is set to, that's what you get with or without equalization jumper.
