Last Fall left boat plugged in to AC shore through a Xantrex.
Returned a week later to find two batteries in house bank of 3 were cooked and steaming.
Voltages about 8.7 or so.
Replaced them.
I suspect the SAR is not sending field voltage.
Here are my measurements
Regulator Panel Voltages
It appears that no voltage is exciting the alternator to produce charging current.
Eng Running Start Battery On All Batteries Off Panel terminals All Batteries Off Start Battery On Engine Running
.8 .35 .35 2 2 0 0 0
.5mv 0 0 6 6 0 0
0 0 0 7 7
Ground 8 8 Ground

0 90mv 0 10 10 0 0 .5
All voltages measured against ground Terminal 8
# 10 right side goes to alternator: labeled #3 # 110 Blue color
When engine is running alternator readings between large Red and Black terminals 12.5 v
Starter Battery reads 12.70 v
Any ideas on what to test next?
Thank you!
