SAR V3 dip switch values

Postby Jimsvdawn on Mon Nov 10, 2014 9:38 am

I have had to replace my SAR V3, batteries and a continuing growing list of electronics due to a lightning strike. What are the voltage setting for the the different s1, s2, s3 configurations. I am replacing my East Penns with Trojan 6 volt gel. Have looked but don't see any place where the absorption and float voltages are listed.

Those values are not posted anywhere. Use the setting for Smead's regimen.

Don't know what Smead's regimen is. Trojan require 14.1 - 14.4 volts for absorption and13.5 volts for float. Any idea what the setting I should use?

Thanks!!! Any reason you don't disclose the switch setting values?

Trade secrets. Let the other manufacturers figure out their own recommendations.

What dip switch setting should I use for Gel-Tech (Gel Batteries)?
I would like to verify the dip switch setting for Gel-Tech batteries for the Smart Alternator Regulator V3. The Battery Bank comprises of 3 8d batteries. I believe it should be East Penn Gel.
Thanks

Gel-Tech are made by East Penn. You can use that setting, but the Ample Power setting is an improvement.

Good morning:

I have Fullriver AGM batteries. Fullriver suggests Bulk at 14.7, Absorb 14.7 and Float at 13.6.
Question: What "Battery Type"/Dip- switch should I set to?

Thanks in advance for your help.
