SAR-V3 LFP Voltage

The system has a SAR-V3 with a 100Ah alternator that is currently setup for AGM batteries (2x 8Ds). Now there will be 2x LFP160s (Lithium Iron Phosphate cells) with a built in Battery Management System which protects the cells from overcharge when balancing. The LFP cells like constant current (up to 3x Ah capacity, 10x burst), constant voltage, until 16V is reached.

I downloaded the 'Installation and Operating Instructions' and see Table 3 lists 8 battery types set by dip-switches but there is no table with the voltage parameters for each. The higher the better and even 15V would nearly fill the packs. Where can I find this data?

At 25C the highest you can get is 14.4V on thick plate liquid.

14.4V will do for the bulk charge of the LFP.

I see the 'Equalize' setting provides over 16V. Do you have to bridge the two posts (to initiate the Equalization) prior to turning on the system or can that be done on the fly?

You can do it on the fly, but once the voltage reaches 16.2 Volts it kicks out of absorption. You have to set the eql current limit low so that it can't instantly jump to kick out.
