20 k ohms standing on B+ lead

Postby dgreg on Thu May 24, 2012 7:39 am

Hi
I was checking for dc leakage on my boat and the only item I have is with my very old and very reliable next step alternator controller. To make a long story short it turns out I have 20k ohms on the b+ lead with no ampreage. The unit works very well I just would like to have to have no 12volt readings when all the ckt breakers are off thus confirming that there is no dc leakage anywhere in the boat.

Best regards

That current draw is less than battery self-discharge and can safely be ignored.
