I have a Next Step 2 (i.e. this one http://www.amplepower.com/manuals/ns2/ ) that was installed by the previous owner of the boat. The boat's wiring was a real mess and in cleaning it up I wanted to validate that the Next Step was wired correctly.
My boat has 2 batteries (1 house, 1 starter) and one engine (one alternator). The existing wiring does not have any wires connected to TB2 (in fact there is no wire block on top of table 2, it is just pins sticking up) When I look at the manual ( http://www.amplepower.com/manuals/ns2/ ) page 2, TB2 Pin 1 says it is optional, all good, but if that is optional then what powers the parallel solenoid? I do have a solenoid, but there is no hot (small guage) wire going to it.
Thanks
