Voltage Run Away Error

Postby jgd on Sat Jun 20, 2015 11:45 pm

I have just finished wiring my NS2 Regulator and have powered it up for the first time. I have it connected to a 4023 alternator. The house battery bank is presently 4 golf cart batteries @ 12 volts. The starting battery is a single 12 volt. I have adjusted the Absorption @ 1.440 volts, the Float @ 1.360 volts and the Absorption Time to 1.000 volts The battery voltage reads approximately 12.6 volts without the shore power charger on, it rises to approximately 12.8 with the charger on. I have an Ample Power Parallel Solenoid in the circuit. The temperature sensor is not yet connected.

The red LED is flashing a Voltage Run Away Error, the green LED indicates ON/OFF INPUTS, OFF. I have not yet run the engine, (or the alternator).

Please advise on the problem.

Remove all power, (ignition and B+) and then reconnect it.

Thank you, I found your 2009 post for the NS2, the error cleared after activating the ignition input, the first time. The system appears to function correctly now. I should have looked further previously.
