You'll need to run tests that correlate to the same signals as other regulators.

It has been suggested that I buy a new regulator...can you verify which one would be an appropriate replacement, and if the wiring will match up. I have included two pictures, one is a close-up of what I believe is the existing regulator.

thanks, Jeff.

The SARV3 is the closest match. It has duty cycle current limiting but won't use the Alternator Current Sensor.

Thank you,

Will the SARV3 also control solar panel input? I do not yet have solar charging, but I am likely to add it in the near future.

Also...will I be able to get phone help during installation? It has now been over a year since I bought the brand new alternator from you and it is still not working (it has been back to your shop twice). I do not want to repeat that with the voltage regulator. Granted I am only at the boat for a few months each year, but while I am there I really need a more rapid way to communicate. I have been using this messaging system because it seems to be the only way to communicate with APC. It seems a 15 min phone conversation can accomplish what takes days on this messaging system.

Thanks, Jeff.
