General questions (retrofit, parts, etc.)

For all issue regarding Ample Power Alternators.

I have an Ample Alternator I believe to be new which has been stored on board the vessel I recently purchased.
There are no markings on it to indicate its rating or the model number. On the attached image I noted three clues which I am hoping will allow someone to positively identify the unit.
The casting # 1A1000
Two types of rectifiers:
3 marked Motorola MR5020R
3 marked Motorola MR5020
Please let me know if this or any other details can lead you to identify the unit.

That's not enough information.

What engine do you have?

Coulomb,
You asked whar engine... The boat runs a Perkins 4-108 desile. The alernator is not installed and likely as not been in the past. I believe it was purchased as a backup. I have a 600HA 12v house bank and would typically look for 80 to 100A for the bulk charge stage.
Thanks

A lot of 4-108s have been fitted with different alternators, but the surest bet is the #4023 unit.

A picture would help.

OK thanks... I will try posting this .tif image rear view of the unit gain...

Coulomb,
I have used the Upload attachment tool with a .tif and .pdf image but they do not seemto work. I have sent the imate to info@amplepower.com so perhaps you can see it there...

If the unit is the 4024 as you suspect. What is the current rating on the diodes?

Thanks for your help.

It's a small frame and probably the #4023 as previously noted.

What does the profile look like? See http://www.amplepower.com/products/alt/dimensions/402x-S.html
