improving charge rate on Generator

A boat I am working on has a small screaming 5.5kw 3600rpm diesel gen that the owner now only uses while on anchor for more than a day. Under way the 2x100A leeces Nevilles driven by a SAR3 have the distinction of providing fast full and practically free charging (while making me look like a saint in their eyes... thank you Ample :D ) but on generator the charge is limited to the 120A capacity of the Magnum inverter/charger, equating to several hours extra abuse of ones ears.

batteries: 8@ trojan golf carts

Is there a way to effectively stack Ample ac chargers on top of the Magnum to provide a higher loading of the generator? Why suffer the generator for 5 hours when 3 - 4 hours would suffice?

Thanks 4

Stacking chargers won't help much, if at all. You're already at the breaking point on the generator with the Magnum charger.

That's why we make DC generators!
