Hi
in first place sorry for my english this text its a traslate by google

I have a G150-12 of 2003 installed a 28-foot sail catamaran
the electric porpulsion is powred by 2 banks of 24v batteries 180ah
"My questions are?
Is it possible install a second alternator 24v to charge 2 banks of 24v batteries?
What would be the maximum power from the alternator?
What components i need?
"Enermatic is capable of managing the bank of 12v and Two banks 24v ?

Thanks
Sergi

The power of that engine is pretty much used by the one alternator. And the mechanical problems of mounting a second alternator are non-trivial.

The best solution would be to replace the alternator and regulator with 24V units to charge the 24V bank directly. Then use a 24-12V converter to maintain the 12V system.

Thanks
12/24v converter exists to install in each of the two banks?
That maximum power "?

If the two 24V banks are physically separated, then you'll need two converters. If they are not physically separated, then make one bank from them.
Do you have a schematic of the system?

Converters are specified for an average load since peak draw can come from the battery.
