There is a temperature switch, and a temperature sender for the panel gauge.

Only the switch can prevent the engine from running. Both the switch and the sender are located under the engine cylinder next to the coolant drain petcock.

I think all the single cylinder units use temperature switches with push tabs. Is that the switch you have? A picture would help.

You can jumper the wires for the switch, but carefully monitor the engine that it doesn't overheat.

We do have replacements - $79.

Our engine has a temperature switch with push tabs. I would like to buy a temperature sender. There is a bit of a rush as we have a friend coming to Mexico next week who can bring the sender. Please give me the contact information for someone in sales so that I can arrange the purchase and shipping. Thank you.

The temperature switch has one push tab. The sender for the gauge has two.
