New Exhaust Elbow

I recently purchased a new Exhaust Elbow for my 2002 vintage Diesel Genie. I am not planing on returning to my boat in Grenada until November but I have a question regrading the installation of the new elbow.

There is a mounting tab on the elbow that appears to mount under either a bolt on the heat exchanger or one on the top of the crankcase. I am wondering if someone can clarify the mounting location or better yet - have a picture?

Thanks,

Bobby Ward

The new brace on the exhaust bolts to the block. It has been added to provide additional support to the exhaust in case the engine is lifted via the exhaust.

It is still not advisable to lift the engine using the exhaust.

Have about 500 hours on the new exhaust elbow and it has starting leaking salt brine and exhaust gases. Have you had similar results with other systems in use in salt water? The pin holes appear to be located in the 1 1/2" diameter exhaust pipe adjacent to the raw water injection port. Not a weld problem but some sort of crystalization of the metal itself.
