NS3 regulator

I just upgraded to the NS3 from the NS and I'm seeing unusual behavior, it goes into float before the batteries are charged. After experimenting I found that if I disconnect the B+ and reconnect it, charging resumes as expected. This behavior occures every time. Can anyone explain this behavior?

So why does this resume normal charging after disconnecting and reconnecting B+, what is adjusting anything have to do with this behavior, appears that this unit has some unexplained memory which is dumped when B+ is disabled and reenalbed... Please explain this, or do I perhaps have a faulty SAR3?

You have an SARV3, where we figured you meant NS2 instead of NS3.

So how do you know the batteries aren't full when it trips to float?

Heart Interface Link 2000. For example; yesterday morning the link 2000 indicated that batteries were down by 130 amp hours, I started charging and when the sarv3 tripped to float the link 2000 indicated batteries were still down by 60 amp hours, I waited about 5 mins. and then disconnected B+ and reconnected it, within 1 min. charging resumed and SARv3 tripped to float at +2 amp hours as indicated by the link 2000. Which indicates that the SARv3 and the Link 2000 are in agreement.

Note that I have been using the NS for about ten years without a problem and I figured it was time to upgrade to the SARv3. When I connect the NS I do not have this issue.

So, why do I have to keep disconnecting B+ to get this thing to work??? It appears to me that there is a flaw in the logic or the SARv3 is faulty.

I have read the post, I understand, however the question still remains; why is it when B+ is disconnected and reconnected does the SARv3 resume charging until my hour indicater is zero'd or + a few???. I find this behavior quite odd and no one has yet to answer it...

When you remove B+ you're restarting the regulator without any prior information so it goes into bulk charge.

The question whether the batteries are full at the end of the first cycle is still open. What is the voltage and battery current prior to tripping to float. Your last replay indicates 14V and 0 Amps. If that's correct, then it appears the batteries are full.
