EMON and Next Step

Good morning Board,
I have a 1993 EMON in service with The SAR V2. The alternator charging system has a "hand/off/automatic" field controller as well. The SAR V2 has failed. Years ago I inventoried a Next Step regulator for this eventuality. I'm not certain how to integrate the wiring into the EMON's A1 channel.
Shore side charging is by a Heat Freedom 10.
The house bank is 3 group 27 gel and the starting battery is also a group 27 gel.
While at anchor solar panels are controlled through a solar regulator.
Both the Freedom 10 charging and Solar charging go through a shunt and are displayed n the Aux Amps channel.

Wire it like the wiring diagram and it will work.

What is your specific problem?

My SAR V2 malfunctioned and is inoperable. It worked in conjuction with the Alternator Current Sensor #1008 and an ESP. Terminal 2-2 on the SAR V2 provides ISENSE to the #1008 at terminal 2. The #1008 terminal 3 then connects to ESP terminal 1-9 (CHG1). Can SAR V2 be repaired?
My NextStep replacement does not have an ISENSE outputs terminal.

The SARV2 was last made in the early 1990s and is no longer repairable because some parts are no longer made.

You will still be able to measure alternator current sensor even though the Next Step does not have an input for it.

OK, My psychic friends hotline has expired, soooooooo can you enlighten me as to how the connections could be made ? You really are a tease!!! Would as SAR V3 be more appropriate.

You don't change any connections to the ESP, except the Isense and Vsense wires will no longer connect to a regulator.

My understanding then is that the (SARV2 terminal 2-2 ISENSE) was a input of the function of that product.
I presume then that the ESP will still display "ALT AMPS"

Yes, that signal is generated by the Alternator Current Sensor for use by the ESP and V2.
