SAR V3 and SCM Voltage settings

I would like to set the SAR V3 and SCM to charge at 14.7 Volts instead of 14.4. Rolls Batteries suggest to charge their FLA batteries at 14.7 if temperature regulated (which both the SAR V3 and SCM are). I do equalize twice per year with the current 14.4 settings and still am not satisfied with the voltages I see (12.54 after fully charged), so it makes sense to do this.

Is it possible to do this with the SAR V3 and SCM or do I need to wire something external to trick the charger references? Diodes drop 0.7 V, and I do not know what I can place in line to drop only 0.3 Volts.

So far I have exactly 12 years out of the same single bank of 4 x 275 AH, series 4000 Rolls FLA batteries, 12 Volts, no shore power, nor solar, nor wind, just your products (SARV3, EMON and SCM), 2x 90 A alternators and a gen set running 2 x 12V 55 A chargers off your SCM for one hour per week. and still running strong but I believe it can be mande even stronger with this new setting.

Are you using the thick plate liquid setting? If not, try that.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yes I am using and always have, the Thick Plate Liquid settings on the SAV V3. The EMON is coupled to the SARV3 with V FULL set at 14.32 and AMPS MIN set at 33 AMPS (3% of a 1100 AH bank.) Temperature has NEVER been an issue and I charge with less than 110 AMPS always, with either the SCM 55 x 2 units or the alternators (with Limit 1 on the SARV3 set to provide a máximum of 110 Amps). Resting V is never above 12.5. This Winter I brought the batteries home and charged them one by one with a ferroresonant charger overnight and got a 12.75 resting voltage reading on all batteries.
This event plus the historical readings, coupled to Amplepower´s Primer and Living on 12 Volts, http://handybobsolar.wordpress.com/handybobs-golden-rules-for-living-on-solar-and-battery-power/, Rolls´recomendation to charge at 14.7 if tempreature compnesated, makes me think that 14.7 would be a better charge regime.

That's the highest set point there is.

I'll see what can be done to track the temp. sender to think the batteries are at a lower temperature.
