My boat came equipped with a PSC30-12 charger. I am wondering about recommendations for long-term use. The boat is out of the water with power available during the winter months. There is no drain hole in my bilge, so rainwater flooding of the engine compartment is a risk and I rely on the deep-cycle marine batteries to keep the bilge pump going. My understanding is that some chargers can be left on for weeks at a time to keep batteries fresh while others will overcharge and kill the batteries. What is the recommendation for the PSC30-12? Is there a maximum time it should be left on? It seems to be working fine with a charging voltage of 13.5. Thanks.
