SARV3-24 S1 Switch Configuration Question

Postby Christian on Tue Sep 15, 2009 8:41 pm

Hi,

I am trying to choose the best charging regime for Odyssey Absorbed Glass Mat batteries using the SARV3 – 24V.
Apologies if this is answered on your website, but I was unable to find the charging regime data for the S1 switch configurations.

Battery Information:

Odyssey PC2150
ABS Voltage – 14.7V
Float Voltage – 13.6V

Is it possible to get the S1 switch configuration information?

Thanks
Christian

Use the Medium Plate Liquid setting.

Thankyou for your quick reply.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. As you have recommended a setting I will put the information forward.

As our battery selection may change in the future, ideally I would like to know the Absorption and Float Voltages for each switch configuration. If you are feel reluctant to post the information on a forum, I can provide you with my work email addess.

Kindest Regards

Hi again,
Rather than post a new topic I was wondering what the minimum voltage requirement is for the 24V SAR V3.
If our batteries become excessively discharged due to the engine failing to start, would the SAR still work?

Hi again,

Thanks for the reply, regarding the Switch S1 configurations:
1. I work at groundprobe and I can provide evidence of this if it will help you release the configuration data.
2. I can ask the legal team to produce a Non Disclosure Agreement for this information.

Please let me know if you don't want to release the information for personal reasons, so I know to stop asking!

Regards

Hi Coulomb,
I have the SARV3-12P regulator connected to my Ample Power model 1024 150A Alternator charging 6 Lifeline AGM golf cart batteries in a series-parallel arrangement to make a 12V 660AHr bank. What is the proper S1 switch setting for this arrangement?
Lifeline recommends 14.4V Max for bulk and absorption and 13.4 for float.

Thanks in advance.
