Multi charging sources and the smart regulators

Does anyone know what will happen in a two alternator two battery bank system if a charge relay is placed between the two banks? Will one of the regulators sense the other alternator and turn off? Will I get the full benefit of both alternators charging my batteries? I have a SAR V2 on one bank and a SAR V3 on the other. Both are controlling 150A alternators charging their own bank.

You'll probably get a low frequency bounce at times when the alternators alternate which one is charging, but also see this article:
