Capacity Alarms

The Way it Was
Two significant changes were made regarding capacity alarms. Earlier units had two capacity alarms which the user could enable or disable. The alarm setpoints were fixed at 50 and 80% depth of discharge. All other displays of capacity were done in percentage of remaining capacity.

This `breakdown of orthoganality' was corrected in the 1995 unit. Instead of 80% depth of discharge, the lowest capacity alarm has been changed to 20% remaining.

A programmable capacity alarm has been added. The setpoint of this alarm is referenced by the display of B1C LO. The user can set this value as desired.

Before the B1C LO setpoint can be asserted, it must be enabled under the PROGRAM?, B1? and ALARM? prompt tree.
